Jonathan Davis, MD, FACC, FSCAI

After graduating from Loyola College Prep in Shreveport, Dr. Davis earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his medical degree from LSU School of medicine in Shreveport. While in medical school he was named the “American Heart Association Student Scholar in Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke” and was also awarded honors, including the Adrian F. Reed Memorial and the Meneely Physician Scientist awards. Following graduation he served a residence in internal medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham where he received the Cobbs Award for Excellence and was asked to remain for an additional year as chief resident and instructor of medicine. He served general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., and was named as the chief cardiology fellow. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.

Dr. Davis entered practice in Shreveport in 2008. His interests include coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, PFO and other atrial septal defect closure, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, coronary CT angiography and intravascular ultrasound.

He holds memberships in the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, Shreveport Medical Society and Louisiana State Medical Society. He and his wife, Elizabeth, ae parents to three children.
